The British Film Institute National Archive

I recently came across the British Film Institutes National Film Archive, represented by their YouTube Page. As the name suggests, this is a huge archive of films. There is such an array of diverse and interesting clips from street scenes to informative videos to documentary’s about events that have shaped our country, that I couldn’t possible begin to try to describe it all. The video below caught my eye – a 1945 Government campaign to prevent the spread of germs and diseases. Fairly topical in today’s climate. This campaign gave rise to the slogan “Coughs and sneezes spread diseases”.

Have a look at what else is available at http://www.youtube.com/user/BFIfilms .
