Paper Samples: Attention to detail

The photographs below show paper sample booklets from a company called ‘Mowhawk’, showcasing their Strathmore paper range. I am not usually too won over by booklets of paper samples, but Mowhawk have been really inventive with how they have chosen to display theirs. One booklet consists of a beautiful embossed folder in which there are the actual samples, along with a printed map/poster and letters. The second is a machine edge stitched book, offering tips on the art of writing. Mowhawk have cleverly used different papers and printing techniques to illustrate these hints and tips, as well as show some interesting still life photography at the beginning of the book. These really are books to be admired in themselves, even though their primary function is just to sell paper.
