Stratford: Community Art Wall

Last  month I wrote about the development of Stratford for the 2012 Olympics, and mentioned that an initiative had been put in place in order to involve young people in the area in documenting the ‘Story of Stratford’. Yesterday I noticed that the display around the station had been changed to ‘showcase’ some of the workings and thoughts of these young people. The method of display and the works are hardly of Barbican standard, but for me they are really important in the re-building of the community within Stratford, and importantly they are displayed in a method that allows them to be seen by thousands of different people everyday.
