Brady Bags

Brady specialise in game and fishing bags, with the company being founded by John and Albert Brady in Birmingham, in the year 1870. Over many years, the company has been passed down from generation to generation, and it is only within the last decade or so that it has actually moved from within the hands of the Brady family. It pleases me to say that they still operate from England, with manufacture currently taking place in Walsall.  One thing worthy of note is that Brady rarely produced catalogues in the past, as their product range did not change from season to season Рthey had their staple products, and stuck with them.

In 2002 however, Lesley Taylor (previously of Mulberry) became Head Designer and mixed the high quality and craftmanship of traditional Brady Bags and mixed it with some more directional shapes, allowing the bags to reach a much wider audience without diluting the heritage.

My particular favourite is the ‘Small Ariel Trout’ (second image) – I might just be tempted…
